Candles might not be the most immediate thing you think of when it comes to decorating your True Fashionista home. While making the perfect birthday or holiday gift for a new friend (Everyone loves candles! Can't go wrong.), candles have become a favorite accent piece over time. You also get a two for one with most, where the packaging can be as beautiful as the scent. You'll have to resist the temptation to light it!

However, there's also something about a candle once you do fire it up. Candles have the power to instantly transform a space and set the scene, transporting you to a sun-soaked beach, a peaceful woodland forest, or smack into the middle of New England in October with just one whiff. The best ones aren't overpowering. Instead, they strike a mood gently while also looking stylish and understated, lit or not. You can find an array of upscale candles at True Fashionistas consignment store, Naples. But which ones strike your fancy?

CANDLES? YES, CANDLES! – DESIGNERS' CHOICE

The peeps at HouseBeautiful.com went straight to the source for some educated opinions from those who know decorating and mood-setting best: interior designers. Specifically, they asked some of their favorite designers which True Fashionista candles they always keep at home and keep on buying year after year:

Nicci Green, Creative Director and Founder of Articolo Lighting loves having the beautifully crafted La Promeneuse candle by Trudon around the house. Classy with brass carrying loop and sheathed in a gorgeous green outer casing, you light a night light underneath, which heats a cameo or self-contained fragrance on top. Four of the night lights and cameos come with the candle.

NYC-based designer Sarah Templin prefers Canadian brand LVNEA's handmade, natural soy wax candles. Infused with essential oils and floral waxes, they offer sophisticated packaging as well. She also goes for beeswax candles from Bee Man Candle company because they naturally neutralize toxins and odors in the air as they burn. They also make their candles using locally sourced honey from hives near their Madison County, NY home.

True Fashionista Ladies & Gentlemen Studio goes for the double candlestick look of Lex Pott's Twist candles, created in his Rotterdam studio. Similarly, Elena Frampton goes for Carl Durkow's unique-looking candlestick designs. Conveniently they are sold in sets of two.

Designer Jessie Schuster adores Mad Et Len's fumiste Black Champaka scented candle. The line is available in earthy scents emanating from classy tin canisters.

CANDLES? YES, CANDLES! – THE ELECTRIC KIND

Why not electric candles? These True Fashionista candles won't burn down, look just as classy as their wax cousins, and are pretty darn convincing as well. More commonly known as "flameless," we can comfortably group battery-operated candles in here as well. You can find several kinds of flameless candles at Naples' best consignment store, True Fashionistas. While you're browsing, keep in mind that the makers of flameless candles are determined to have their product look as close to the real thing as possible, like TruGlow's black dripping wax pillar version. They drip without the mess. Bonus! TruGlow has a large selection of electric candles from which to choose.

Another enticing brand of flameless candle is the set of three silver metallic LED candles by Lavish Home. You have to appreciate these real wax LED candles that even come with a remote. Heather Candles also offers a lovely set of three flameless candles with a pretty crabapple vine design. The candles are in graduated heights for an optimal display as a set.

For outdoor gatherings, Xodus Innovations gives us the 4" weatherproof LED bat pillar candle.

CANDLES? YES, CANDLES! – BATTERY OPERATED

Suppose your version of flameless doesn't involve an electrical outlet. In that case, you might enjoy Northlight Seasonal's True Fashionista battery-operated LED Christmas candles that spell out J-O-Y and several other candles from Heather Candles that depict a variety of beautiful wildlife and nature scenes.

You have to love the flameless candles that try so hard to look like the real thing: they have a flickering light. A case in point is Home & Garden's Mystique 9" Mystique Ivory Moving Flame candle. Don't be surprised to find yourself attempting to snuff it out at the end of the night.

Luminara's Real-flame Effect battery-powered 4.5" Pillar Candle in Ivory is so realistic it's made with real wax and even comes with a five-hour timer. And get this nugget: They made it with electromagnetics, a process initially created for use in theme parks!

Come check out the candle collection, in both flame and flameless, at True Fashionistas, the best designer consignment store and now largest in Florida in our new location! Shop in-store or online, and consider consigning your authentic designer goods with us too!
